Description
PapaQuark is a small game studio based in the south of Sweden. We make games - mostly for mobile platforms. Sometimes weird, sometimes hard, sometimes deep - but always with a lot of love.
History
Back in the day...PapaQuark consists of Michael Granath and Andreas Thuröe who met where all the cool kids meet - on the golf course. Discovering that they actually sucked at golf, they started a band playing Weezer-covers in they're buddy Nils's garage. They made a few songs of their own and played a couple of gigs in their sleepy west coast town before they called it quits and got all serious with their lives. They were, however, not done with each other just yet...
And then suddenly a few years later...At a family gathering (by this time they had assembled a hoard of kids) Michael showed Andreas a prototype of a game he'd secretly been working on and asked if he wanted to join his game project. Being completely clueless how freaking hard it would be, and how long it would take to release a game - Andreas said "yeah, sure". 9 months later Space Forest Dilemma was released - failing completely to make a single dime. Michael and Andreas had, however, finally found something they didn't suck at. Since the release of SFD, they have released one board game, one super weird sunset simulator and a few game jam thingies. They're main project however, is Toppluva - a 70's skiing game.
